1900 families with one Voice!

For over 30 years Cardiff and the Vale Parents' Federation has supported parents and unpaid carers of children and adults with learning disabilities who live in Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan. We have over 1900 families as members, by working together we can improve opportunities for our families.

Let us know your problems - we cannot guarantee to solve them but may be able to point you in the right direction.

We can put you in touch with other parents with similar experiences who are happy to share their knowledge and show the ways they have been able to make progress - remember, all members are parent carers - you are not alone!

We hold regular carers' wellbeing activities and social get togethers across Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan where you can meet other unpaid carers, share experiences and tips

Your Involvement

We are regularly consulted on new services being planned for Cardiff and the Vale of Glamorgan.
We represent the views of parents on developments and highlight what is and what is not working for families and people with a learning disability.
We need your views on all issues and concerns that affect disabled families.
We support parents to attend planning groups and forums and represent carers views.
We are always seeking new parents to become involved in our activities.

The Parents Federation relies upon its many members and volunteers to carry out its activities and has only a small staff team to support them.

You can help us  by becoming a Friend of the Federation and organise  fundraising activities. This could be a coffee morning, sponsored activity or perhaps you would prefer to make a personal donation.
