Many of the services and support options that you and your child may have been used to receiving may end as soon as they finish school. You will need to discuss and agree what support you and your child require, so that they continue to thrive and you can continue to work or attend to daily duties.
Come to our Transitions Meeting on 27th January at 10:30am, held at Ysgol y Deri in Penarth. We will be talking about all the options open to young people with learning disabilities when they leave school, including college, day centres and supported employment.
A well planned transition can be achieved, and result in you and your child receiving the support you both require, while enabling your child to reach their potential.
Don't take this for granted though - make yourself well informed so that you know how best to negotiate the challenges ahead.
