During Carers Week (11th-15th June) and Learning Disability Week (16th-23rd June) there are lots of opportunities to meet other carers and gain information on latest developments. The Parents federation are also holding a series of coffee mornings, breakfast meetings and lunches- all free for carers!
Universal Credit - roll-out starts on 28th February!!
Universal Credit
Universal Credit is a new payment for working-age people whether they are in or out of work. It combines some of the benefits and tax credits that a person may be getting. It will not affect people of pension age.
Universal Credit Full Service will be rolled out in Cardiff from 28 February 2018.

A chance to meet other carers
The Connected Carers project brings carers together over a variety of free activities. These include therapy sessions, activities, coffee mornings, breakfasts and lunches. All are free!
If you care for a person with a life long condition come along , enjoy lunch on us and meet new friends!
Support for siblings of disabled people
Family members, brothers and sisters are often called upon to support a disabled sibling yet they frequently make sacrifices to ensure their loved one is cared for.

New dates for our free carers gatherings - now weekly!!
Our Carers Gatherings offer a relaxed informal setting where carers can meet others who share the same responsibilities and challenges, let their hair down and share experiences. The gatherings are free for carers and refreshments or lunches are provided.
Due to popular demand we are now meeting weekly in both counties!
